The best vodkas are made from wheat, and the best of the best vodkas are made from winter wheat. And we wanted even more: organic winter wheat.

Rainy autumn, crispy winter frost, mild spring and bright summer nights: winter wheat gets its character from all four seasons and is therefore the best raw material for vodka.
We are not only paying attention to quality of our vodka, but also to environment and therefore organic winter wheat is our choice. We know the farm and their fields, we know their process from seed to harvest and how the soil is taken care.
Clear, clean, mineral rich and ice cold! As such, the water from the spring we use has bubbled to the surface of the earth for millennia.
“Crystal clear artesian water”
Our water comes from Somero, where lies one of the largest spring water sources in Southwest Finland. This crystal clear spring water is sourced directly from the spring without any additional filtering or treatment. This enables us to provide you one of the highest possible quality artesian water in the world.
The spring has plenty of water and the water is filtered by a thick ridge of gravel. The ridge formation was created at the end of the ice age and has not been modified in any way to meet water intake needs.
Making artisanal vodka includes, among other things, lifting, carrying, shoveling and weighing. When you have done everything for quality, you can finally happily sign each bottle!

We grind, mash, ferment and distill. We operate and maintain the equipment ourselves. We have only one thing in our minds: to produce the best possible vodka. Organic winter wheat, crystal clear artesian water and true craftsmanship.
Distilling is fun and easy, but true joy and excitement of it comes only after the hard work grinding, mashing and fermenting i.e. knowing what you are distilling.
Organic winter wheat is our choice. We know the farm and their fields, we know their process from seed to harvest and how the soil is taken care.
Alcohol production is energy intensive and therefore we pay a lot of attention to facilities and utilities. Our electricity is carbon neutral, heating is by bioenergy power plant.
Waste from mashing is circulated to energy production (no methane released to atmosphere) and that offsets great deal of the carbon footprint of the grain.
Bottle is a bottle neck on our way to carbon neutrality so for the time being we compensate by re-foresting.
Organic winter wheat, artesian water. Nothing of animal origin is used to make the yeast we use.
We don’t filter, so you don’t have to worry about sediment removers being of animal origin either.
The bottles are rinsed with our own vodka before filling, so there is nothing of animal origin in it either.

Our distillery lies in Raisio within the Raisionkaari industrial park that strongly focuses on green values. We also source all our fantastic ingredients locally from this area.
Our organic premium quality winter wheat comes from Vahto, near Turku and our crystal clear artesian water from Jakkula spring, located in Somero.
As we are strongly focusing on environmental awareness, we compensate all our carbon emissions to a local carbon sink, located in Laitila. This is southwest Finland, this is the home of Turku Distillery!
